About Me

Atlanta NativeDSC_0063

I was raised in Alpharetta, Ga., and I am the younger of two children. I come from a very loving and supportive family, including my beloved Labrador Retriever mix, Roscoe. Each member of my family has inspired and encouraged me to pursue my dreams. I love the city of Atlanta, which is only a 45 minute drive from my hometown. I have grown up going to Braves games, attending shows at the Fox Theater, visiting the World of Coke and exploring the beautiful city of Atlanta. I have strong roots in the city and will always be proud of where I come from.

Alabama Has My Heart

The University of Alabama has had my heart since the day I stepped foot on campus. The sheer beauty of the campus is enough to capture someone’s heart, but it’s the atmosphere that really makes UA what it is. Some of my favorite memories include tailgating on The Quad with family and friends and cheering on The Tide in Bryant-Denny Stadium. I could not think of a college that would better suit me, and I am continually thankful for the opportunity to be a student at The University of Alabama.

I Love PR

Public relations has given me the wonderful ability of finding myself and discovering what I truly enjoy. I have been able to explore capabilities and skills within me that I never knew I had! Through my time in public relations, I have become more confident and certain that I will have the upmost dedication to my future career. Public relations has directed me to a perfect path that will lead to a great future in the work force. I enjoyed every public relations class at Alabama and have really loved the experience I’ve gained through my job opportunities.

I Have Experience

I had the opportunity to intern in the summer of 2013 with an event planning company called The Party Girl Events in Roswell, Ga. Through this internship, I gained key skills that have enhanced my knowledge more than I could imagine. I was taught the in’s and out’s of event coordination and the importance of timeliness and organization. I was able to return to TPGE in January 2015 as an Event Planning Assistant. With more responsibility, came more experience, knowledge, and the ability to fine tune the skills I had learned two years prior.

In January 2015, I was also an intern at Legends working on the New Atlanta Stadium Project (Mercedes Benz Stadium). This position offered me a deeper glimpse into the world of sports and my first look at a true sales position. While sports have always been a part of my life, this opportunity to experience the world of sales was eye opening.

During the fall of 2013, I was an intern for a local charity in Tuscaloosa, Ala., called The Santa’s Elves Toy Drive. I assisted the Santa’s Elves team in their efforts to provide over 200 elementary aged children with toys for Christmas. I was able to utilize multiple skills from marketing to advertising to social media to writing. As a result of our hard work, we collected over 600 toys to distribute to the children. I love the city of Tuscaloosa and am thankful for the wonderful four and a half years I spent there, and this internship was a wonderful way to give back to the families of The City of Champions.

I am currently working as a marketing and event intern for The University of Alabama Athletic Marketing Department. I am excited for the experience that I will gain because the sports industry has always interested me. This is a great opportunity to expand my knowledge and gain essential skills. I am looking forward to seeing what this internship has in store for me!
